Overview

Illusion Aligners is an Indian clear aligner brand linked to Illusion Dental Lab. Its website also refers to Laxmi Dental Limited. It is not a mail-order brand: patients are told to see their dentist, who assesses them and submits the case through Illusion's doctor portal. Illusion's in-house dentists, orthodontists and technicians then design the aligners using the company's iSMART Plan software. Illusion states its aligners have US FDA 510(k) clearance, and it runs a separate US site. When we checked in September 2026, its main site priced treatment in Indian rupees and offered pay-per-aligner and pay-as-you-go options. It did not mention the UK, and we found no evidence of UK dentists offering it. If you're in the UK, ask your dentist which aligner systems they're trained in. Invisalign, Spark, SureSmile, ClearCorrect and Angel Aligner are all widely available from UK practices.

Insurance Coverage in the UK

UK dental insurance and cash-plan orthodontic benefit is generally written for treatment prescribed and supervised by a registered UK dentist or orthodontist. Without a confirmed UK clinician of record, check the specific policy wording and confirm with your insurer before assuming cover would apply.

Financing & Payment Plans

Illusion quotes treatment in Indian rupees on its main site and offers 'pay per aligner' and 'pay as you go' options through the treating dentist. We found no UK price or UK payment plan.

Best For: Illusion Aligners Suitability by Condition

Underbite: Not recommended without confirmed clinician supervision. Underbite correction can involve significant bite change that benefits from in-person monitoring — the British Orthodontic Society advises against unsupervised aligner treatment for anything beyond the simplest cases. Overbite: Not recommended without confirmed clinician supervision. As with underbite, meaningful overbite correction generally needs in-person oversight that isn't confirmed to be available in the UK for this brand. Gaps / spacing: Mild cases only, with caution. Simple spacing is the case type most often marketed by aligner brands without a confirmed UK clinic presence, but the GDC and BOS still recommend in-person assessment first. Crowding: Mild cases only, with caution. Mild crowding may be marketed as suitable; moderate to severe crowding needs clinician assessment that should happen in person. Buck teeth / protrusion: Not recommended without confirmed clinician supervision. Protrusion correction typically needs attachments and monitoring best delivered in person.

Suitability for Kids & Teens

Without a confirmed UK clinic network for in-person assessment, treatment for a still-developing dentition needs particular caution — verify clinical oversight arrangements directly with the provider before proceeding.
