Usually not. Most standard UK dental insurance plans exclude orthodontic treatment or do not list it as a benefit. A smaller number of insurers and dental plans offer specialist orthodontic cover, but it typically has strict limits, waiting periods and exclusions, so read the policy wording and ask the insurer in writing whether fixed braces, clear aligners and retainers are covered.
